How to do trx tuck
- Place your feet in the TRX foot cradles and set a high plank with your hands on the floor.
- With arms straight, align your wrists under your shoulders.
- Brace your abs and glutes and form a straight line from head to feet.
- Bring your knees toward your chest by bending your hips, without arching your back.
- Pause briefly with your knees close to your chest.
- Extend your legs slowly back to the plank without swinging your hips.
Mistakes to avoid
- Do not arch your lower back as you tuck; pull your navel in.
- Avoid swinging or using momentum to raise your knees; the move must be controlled.
- Do not drop your head or push your wrists out of line with your shoulders.
- To avoid injury, if you cannot control the plank with feet suspended, start with knees on the floor.
Progression
- Master the high plank with feet in the straps for 30-60 seconds before the tuck.
- Do slow reps: raise in 3 seconds and lower in 3.
- Increase from 8 to 12 reps keeping technique before speeding up.
- To progress further, move to straight-leg raises with greater hip control.
