How to do trx chest press

  1. Grab the TRX handles and face them with your feet together.
  2. Lean forward keeping a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Keep your abs and glutes tight so your hips do not bend.
  4. Bend your elbows lowering your chest toward the handles, with the handles pointing forward.
  5. Descend only as far as you control without your shoulders collapsing.
  6. Press the handles down and extend your arms to return to the start.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not let your hips sag or bend your body; hold a firm plank from start to finish.
  • Avoid sinking your neck or dropping your head forward.
  • Do not go so deep that your shoulders shrug toward your ears; control the range.
  • If you shake or lose the line, use a more vertical angle or drop to your knees.

Progression

  • Move your feet closer to the anchor point to increase difficulty and body-weight load.
  • Add reps up to 12 clean ones before changing angle.
  • Add a 2-second pause in the lowered position for more tension.
  • Once you master the most horizontal angle, try one-arm or weighted variations.
